se so neon (새소년) is almost entirely independent with their creative process! using the song "e" (이) for example, the lyrics, composing, and arrangement, vocals, guitar, drums, were all completed independently by the members.the fandom name is KDG (코딱지)meaning boogers. se so neon made an instagram reel with the background story about itse so neon's first gained an audience by frequently attending open-mic nights at small venues and bars
background info
se so neon is a korean rock band currently consisting of hyunjin and soyoon.the band was formed by soyoon in 2016 with two former members, gangto and fancy moon, who left late 2018 for military service and schedule conflicts.bassist hyunjin and former drummer usu were "scouted" by soyoon in 2019 through an unofficial instagram audition for a new bassist and drummer. she chose them because they didn't seem like they were trying to stand out. usu announced his departure from the band august 27, 2022.se so neon were signed to magic strawberry sound from april 2017 through july 2024, and are currently unsigned.

before se so neon: usu attended art school, and after graduating, he essentially worked as a freelance drummer hired for events. he's been drumming since he was a kid, and has always enjoyed music.
